What has changed?

On 22 May 2026, the Turkish Revenue Administration published an announcement on issuing the e-Producer Receipt by verification through information technologies and/or communication tools instead of a wet signature, and updated the e-Producer Receipt Technical Guide.

Under the new arrangement, verification is carried out with an SMS code sent to the producer's phone instead of the counterparty's wet signature. The SMS code, the phone number and the details of the operator that sent the SMS appear on the receipt.

An amendment was also made to section "V.5.5. Issuing and Delivery of the e-Producer Receipt" of Tax Procedure Law General Communiqué No. 509. The taxpayers who can use the application, the application processes, the information to appear on the receipt, and the procedures and principles are set out in guides published by GİB.

Main changes in the Technical Guide

  • 2.2 Producer Receipt Elements: the descriptions of the AccountingSupplierParty and AccountingCustomerParty fields were revised.
  • 2.3.14 AccountingSupplierParty: the operator used for sending SMS is shown in the "/Party/Contact/OtherCommunication" field.
  • 2.3.15 AccountingCustomerParty: the phone number the SMS was sent to goes in the Contact/Telephone field, the word "SMS" in the Contact/Name field and the SMS code in the Contact/ID field.
  • The section on issuing and delivering the e-Producer Receipt now adopts SMS verification instead of a wet signature.
